Precepts

To practice the teachings of Vajrayana, one must strictly abide by the Vajrayana precepts and practice them diligently in accordance with the teachings in order to achieve success. It is written in the Vajrayana that if a disciple breaks the precepts, only the root guru can save him. In the Vajrayana, even if a disciple breaks the precepts, the guru is also responsible, so please be sure to observe the precepts. If you break the precepts, you must sincerely repent. If you do not want to receive the precepts for fear of breaking them, that is also fine, but your connection with the master will be severed. The Buddha said, "Take precepts as your teacher." Precepts are the rules governing our body, speech, and mind, the guiding principles that guide us to perfection. Only when we attain Buddhahood can we be free from the constraints of precepts.

The Fourteen Root Downfalls of Vajrayana

Vajradhara said that he had achieved many accomplishments and was born following the abbot.
Therefore, those who despise him are said to be the first downfall.
(Do not criticize or slander the guru)
Those who violate the words of the Tathagata are said to be the fundamental second downfall.
(Not violating the Buddha's teachings)
The quarrel between the Vajra brothers is considered the third fundamental downfall.
(Do not quarrel with the Vajra brothers or stir up trouble)
Abandoning loving-kindness towards all living beings is considered the fourth fundamental downfall.
(Do not forget your compassion for all living beings, and help them escape suffering and attain happiness)
Cutting off the root of the Dharma, Bodhicitta, is considered the fifth fundamental downfall.
(Save sentient beings without fear of difficulties and never lose your Bodhicitta)
Slandering one's own or other sects' teachings is considered the sixth fundamental downfall.
(Do not slander the exoteric and esoteric scriptures or those not taught by the Buddha, and do not slander one's own or other sects)
The Seventh Fall of the Secret Teachings is Expounded to Immature Beings
(Tantras should not be taught lightly to those whose conditions are not ripe.)
Contempt for the aggregates is the five Buddha bodies and is said to be the fundamental eighth downfall.
(The self is the essence of the five wisdoms of the Five Buddhas and cannot be damaged)
Doubts about the inherent purity of dharma are considered the ninth fundamental downfall.
(Do not neglect either emptiness or existence, and do not doubt the inherent nature of all things)
Maintaining great compassion towards poison is considered the tenth fundamental downfall.
(This one may not apply to our current situation, but it's worth explaining. The scriptures say that in certain situations, if a sentient being behaves extremely evilly and commits great negative karma, they will inevitably fall into the lower realms and cause endless harm to other sentient beings. For a Vajrayana practitioner with great compassion, sometimes we can destroy that being to prevent it from continuing to commit extremely negative behavior. But this must be done with complete selflessness, out of complete compassion. This may not seem appropriate to our current situation, but from the perspective of Vajrayana practice, if someone has the ability to perform this task and turn the situation around for the better, but refuses to stop the great harm, then that person has violated the tenth point, hatred of the original fall.) Discriminating the various dharmas that are separated from names, etc., is said to be the eleven fundamental downfalls.
(Not making distinctions among the true dharmas on one's own, nor having faith and understanding)
Destroying the faith of sentient beings is called the twelve fundamental downfalls.
(Do not destroy those who have good roots and good faith, and speak the true Dharma to those who sincerely learn tantra)
Not following the Samaya one has already attained is said to be the thirteen fundamental downfalls.
(Prepare the necessary instruments and items for the secret teachings according to the samaya you have obtained)
Slandering the wisdom of women is considered one of the fourteen fundamental downfalls.
(Do not despise or slander women; respect women's true Buddhahood.)
The secret practitioners will definitely achieve great accomplishment by eliminating those downfalls.
From then on, the Samaya was lost and the demon of loss caused harm to him.
From this one experiences all kinds of suffering, and after death one falls into hell.
Stay in the presence of the master and offer all the things you have.
